HEY! WE'RE PETER & VANESSA…
A few years ago, we found ourselves thinking about what the next chapter of life could look like.
I'd built a career that I was incredibly proud of. I trained as an aircraft maintenance technician in what is now Zimbabwe before building a career that eventually brought me to Canada. Over almost five decades, I ran my own business, led large teams, worked as a senior executive, and was fortunate enough to be headhunted into many of the roles I held.
Along the way, I travelled extensively and built the life I'd once dreamed of when I first arrived in Canada.
Today, Vanessa and I live on a beautiful lakefront property in northern Saskatchewan, surrounded by the boreal forest. We love kayaking, hiking, swimming, spending time outdoors, and making the most of this incredible place we call home.
Life was good. But we both knew there was another chapter waiting for us.
The more we invested in ourselves, the more possibilities began to unfold.
WHEN A CAREER YOU LOVE ISN'T THE WHOLE STORY: The aviation industry has given me an incredible career. From aircraft maintenance and business ownership to executive leadership, I've had the privilege of working alongside exceptional people, solving complex challenges, and building a career that has been both rewarding and meaningful.
But after nearly five decades in the industry, I began to realise that success wasn't just about the role I held or the hours I worked. I wanted more freedom over my time, greater flexibility for our future, and the opportunity to continue making a difference in people's lives in a different way.
Throughout my career, mentoring leaders and helping people grow became one of the most fulfilling parts of what I did. Vanessa felt the same. Her own career had been centred around education, horticulture, consulting, and empowering others through learning and personal growth.
Although our careers followed different paths, they were driven by the same purpose - to help people discover what's possible. We knew our next chapter needed to reflect those values.
